Direct answer
Confirm the return address and time before pickup, then leave enough time for fuel, inspection, closing records, and transportation to the next destination. An off-airport return does not automatically include a ride to LAS.
What to know first
- Save the exact return location and deadline.
- Ask whether onward transportation is included; do not assume it.
- Complete the vehicle and deposit closeout process.
Put the return in the original plan
The return should be clear before the keys change hands. Confirm the date, time, address, fuel expectation, mileage record, and contact instructions. If pickup and return locations differ, make sure that difference appears in writing.
For an airport departure, work backward from the airline’s recommended arrival time and add transportation from the off-airport return location.
Prepare the vehicle
Remove personal belongings, follow the fuel term, and arrive with time for the agreed inspection. Report a warning, damage, toll, or other issue honestly rather than leaving it unexplained.
Compare the return odometer with the allowance in the agreement. Mileage terms are vehicle-specific.
Close the records
Obtain or retain the return record and any payment receipt. Ask what happens next with the standard security deposit and when any eligible return will be processed.
If the schedule changes, request an extension before the original deadline. A message without approval does not rewrite the agreement.
